  This next letter was sent into the next edition by the Quarry applicant.

It contains comments about the Appeal Group, namely that it is represented by only 2 families that have not lived in the area for very long, irrelevant and very wrong.

It only takes one person to lodge a VCAT Appeal and it can come from anyone, living in the area or not, it only takes someone with a wish to see a wonderful geological feature left alone without somebody wanting to dig it up all the time.

The Applicant also states that the Mt. Elephant Community Management committee (MECM) and the Progress Associations of Derrinallum and Lismore have approved his proposed Quarry, this is totally unture and has insensed the members of these committee's.
He then say's " I have been truthful to the above organisations "  if it wasn't so serious it would be funny, what a laugh!

A very interesting and excellent letter to the editor, I expect the next right of reply will be accusing this writer of having no say in the matter as she has  left the area, again it would be totally irrelevant as everyone is entitled to their view, no matter where in the country (or World) they live.
